Grafton's Weather and Climate
Information about Grafton's weather conditions and seasons to help you better plan your stay.
If you’re planning a holiday, you’re probably hoping for that perfect climate and those ideal weather conditions to suit the activities you’re planning to do and places you’re wanting to see.
Grafton is one of those reliably sunny destinations. In fact, each year Grafton gets around 115.2 clear days of beautiful sunshine.
Our region’s climate is humid subtropical and we have a fantastic balance of sunny days to rainy ones, with just the right amount of rainfull to keep things looking green and healthy. Grafton can still get large amounts of rainfall and flooding from time to time, but generally speaking you can depend on the sunshine soon returning. We tend to get much more rainfall and higher temperatures in summer than in winter.
Summers in Grafton can be very hot. Like many regional centres in New South Wales, temperatures can rapidly rise and we do often experience heatwaves in the summer months. So please take care and keep your fluid levels up if you visit Grafton in summer.
Our winters are usually nice and warm with clear skies during the daytime. At night it is cool enough to sit by an inviting outdoor campfire or snuggle up by a fireplace and appreciate the cooler change.
